Law Enforcement Academy Scholarship
Currently, to become a law enforcement officer in Wisconsin, one has to complete the 720 hour basic recruit academy. The Law Enforcement 720 Academy at Nicolet College is 23 credits. Students can earn up to 32 associate degree credits. Many of the students in the academy have already graduated from a four-year institution and have limited financial aid available. There are many deserving students that would do well in the academy and be outstanding law enforcement officers, but cannot afford to go to the academy. The purpose of this scholarship is to help ease the financial burden on potential students and broaden the number of viable candidates for our agencies to employ.
