Grace Juetten Memorial Scholarship

Grace Juetten grew up at her parents’ resort on Pickerel Lake and graduated from Crandon High School in 1940. She attended Oshkosh Business College and moved to Rhinelander, where she worked for the First National Bank for 29 years and retired as an assistant vice president and installment loan officer.

During her career, she was particularly proud of her association with programs that provided scholarships allowing high school graduates to attend college. She was a frequent visitor at Nicolet’s Top of the Hill restaurant and enjoyed the student-prepared offerings there. Grace passed away at the age of 85 in 2008. At that time, her son, George, and his wife, Sondra, established this scholarship in her memory. The Grace Juetten Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in their second year of the Culinary Arts program who have a minimum 3.0 GPA, are enrolled in at least nine credits, and demonstrate financial need.
